据报道，印度通信部多次警告电子商务平台在2016年和2019年销售未经授权的移动信号增强器。在2019年5月1日致所有电子商务公司的信中，DoT曾表示，电子商务公司非法销售未经授权的移动信号增强器，违反了《信息技术法》第七十九条的规定。

DoT根据《1933年印度无线电报法》，无线设备的卖家需要经销商的许可证（DPL）。因此，如果正在销售或购买的电信设备有许可证/法律要求，购买或销售设备的人和促进此类销售的在线平台或中间商有责任确保不违反政府相关法律法规。

亚马逊等平台已被要求采取纠正行动，从网站上删除未经授权的移动信号增强器的销售和显示，并要求出示合规性证明。印度移动运营商协（COAI）会也要求通信部确保完全禁止通过电商平台销售非法移动信号增强器。

此外，COAI还要求印度政府发出适当指示，依法对国内的非法移动信号增强器销售商采取行动，立即禁止在国内进口这种商品。COAI表示，非法移动信号增强器会干扰其他居民的通信及网络质量吗，特别是在人口密集的印度。
